This salad is a fresh and delicious summertime treat for the whole family!!

Make sure you have an adult help while making this.


  • 1/4 Cup Slivered Almonds

  • 2 Tbsp. Brown Sugar

  • 1 Green Onion

  • 8 Strawberries

  • 4 Cups Mixed Greens

  • 2 Tbsp. Crumbled Feta Cheese

  • 2 Tbsp. Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing


  • 1 Small Saucepan

  • Stove

  • 1 Large Plate

  • 1 Knife

  • 1 Large Salad Bowl

What to do:

  1. Place slivered almonds in a small saucepan.

  2. Have an adult turn the stove on to Medium heat and stir the mixture continuously until all of the sugar has melted.

  3. Quickly pour the nuts onto a large plate and spread them out so they do not stick together.

  4. Have an adult thinly slice the green onion and strawberries.

  5. In a large bowl, place the mixed greens, onion, feta cheese, strawberries and candied nuts.

  6. Toss salad with balsamic vinaigrette dressing.

  7. Enjoy with the whole family!
